Would you like a flexible work pattern to suit your needs? You will be able to choose your own shifts through setting your work availability on our scheduling tool, managed through an app downloaded to your smartphone. We offer weekly pay and benefits such as holiday and paid breaks. Full online and classroom-based training will be provided.

Our Customer Service Assistants will provide a first-class service to our passengers whilst ensuring their safety at all times. They will pro-actively seek to help customers through clear communication to pass through the station whilst effectively managing the Automatic Gates. You will often be the first person and the last person our customers meet on their journey; therefore, your role as gate line assistant is vital in upholding the safety and service to all customers. You may be required at times to undertake roles such as bus replacement, crowd control, and ticket checking.

You will receive an ID badge that will enable you to travel on-board the clients' lines free of charge, to and from shift. Your ID badge and free travel ensure that you can travel around the network and work at multiple stations within the region, opening you up to more shift opportunities.

Pay: £13.45

Hours: Varied and flexible Monday - Sunday, 6am is the earliest start and midnight is the latest finish.

Duration: ASAP - On-going contract

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively operate the gates ensuring the safety of all who pass through them.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding to customer enquiries as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Report any incidents and undertake measures to ensure the safety of the station.
  • Undertake ticket checks and pass any irregularities to Revenue Protection.
  • Wear uniform and I.D badge when working on shift and travelling to and from that shift.

Basic Requirements:

  • Good written and verbal English.
  • Clear DBS checks.
  • Adhere to Adecco Rail Drug and Alcohol policy.
  • Well-presented and willing to adhere to Adecco Rail uniform standards.
  • You will be able to work across a number of stations within the region including Aldershot, Brookwood, Basingstoke, Fleet, Farnborough, Winchester, and Woking.

There will be a training event on the 29th May which you need to be able to attend in Portsmouth.
