A well-established and expanding accountancy practice in Fareham is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its growing team. This is a permanent, full time opportunity offering exposure to a broad and varied client portfolio, with the chance to play an integral role within a professional and supportive practice environment.
The Role
The accountant will be responsible for servicing a mixed portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax returns while working closely with Portfolio Managers. The role also involves supporting junior team members and contributing to the delivery of high-quality client service across the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of year-end accounts for Limited Companies, LLPs, Sole Traders and Partnerships
- Preparation of Corporation Tax and personal tax returns under supervision
- Use of accounting software including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Dext to process client data
- Preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns
- Preparation and commentary of Management Accounts
- Calculation of business and personal tax using practice software
- Addressing file review points and preparation of accounts packs and client correspondence
