The role:
A dynamic, successful Account Manager with proven track record in key account management, looking for a new challenge with a leading industrial Micro Battery manufacturer for a highly successful, globally recognised company. You will be working as part of a team, managing key business accounts and developing new business opportunities for the Industrial division. As well as strong account management skills gained within a B2B industrial environment, you will be comfortable with face-to-face meetings at a corporate level from procurement to Director. This is a hybrid role, that will require some European business travel.
Job status: Permanent, full-time β 40 hours per week
Salary: Dependent on skills and experience; up to Β£40, per annum + Β£5, OTE + benefits (car or car allowance, mobile, laptop, 3% company pension contribution, life assurance 4 x salary, 20 days\β holiday, EAP)
Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of assigned business accounts to agreed sales targets, developing strong relationships with key customers.
* Support the development of new business and revenue opportunities, identifying USP, value creation and strong customer relationships. This includes European travel.
* Represent / attend on behalf of the company key Industry trade exhibitions when required.
* Report sales progress on a weekly or monthly basis or as required by line management, with travel to HQ office when line management requires.
* Collate market and customer information and feedback opportunities to management on a regular basis.
* Accept other tasks or projects as assigned by senior management.
Essential skills and experience:
* Currently working β or solid experience β as a key account manager within the Business To Business / Industrial sector.
* Planning and preparing key account strategies.
* Good communication skills, and good level of IT competence including Microsoft Excel
* Full passport and UK driving licence for business travel.
* Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, to service key EU business accounts to maximum potential.
Desirable skills and experience:
* Ability to present to varying audiences, including use of Microsoft PowerPoint.
* Ability to research business information using various methodologies.
* Intermediate level of computer literacy with MS Office.
* Sales experience across one or more EU countries.
* Experience working as a key account manager for a Japanese / Asian region-based technology organisation
