Interim Senior Building Safety Manager in Aberdeen

Job Title: Senior Building Safety Manager
Location: East London
Contract Type: Temporary
Length: 3 Month Initial Contract, with possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage high-rise residential buildings, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
• Act as the primary liaison with the Building Safety Regulator and fire services.
• Develop and implement safety protocols, engaging residents in the process.
• Monitor building conditions and oversee maintenance to uphold safety standards.
• Champion effective communication and engagement strategies with all stakeholders.

This position requires extensive knowledge of pertinent Building Safety Legislation (Building Safety Bill, Fire Safety Act, Duty of Care) and a strong track record in ensuring regulatory compliance. Essential qualifications include a degree-level professional qualification, coupled with a minimum Level 3 Diploma in a building safety-related field, or equivalent experience. Membership or working towards membership with a recognised building safety-related organisation is also expected (e.g., CIBSE, RICS, CIOB, IFE).
