The predicted salary is between 60000 - 84000 Β£ per year.
This client is looking for a qualified accountant to lead on producing the interim and full year resource accounts, coordinating preparation of notes and disclosures, and liaising with NAO and other key stakeholders on correct accounting treatment and wider considerations around budgets and Supply Estimates. They will also be responsible for the Accounts Payable function, with direct line management of the Transactions Manager, to ensure this function meets its targets, operates as an efficient and effective operation, and that valid invoices and expenses are paid promptly.
Experience required:
- Fully qualified CCAB accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent
- Highly numerate individual with strong knowledge of Excel and financial accounting systems (e.g. Agresso)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work proactively to anticipate issues and develop options/solutions to prevent escalation
- Previous experience of line management responsibilities and leading a team including willingness to learn and provide support within the wider finance team
