Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. This will not strictly involve people management, but you will be expected to take the lead in the warehouse and be the first point of contact. You'll ensure the space is clean, safe, and well-organised, with stock and storage systems maintained effectively.
This position is to cover an extended period of absence and is essential to support the smooth running of the warehouse during a busy time.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the warehouse, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and well-organised
- Manage stock levels and storage systems (e.g. food crates from suppliers such as Tesco)
- Act as the main point of contact for all warehouse-related queries
- Coordinate with full-time staff and support volunteers during their scheduled hours
- Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times
- Support with deliveries, stock rotation, and general upkeep of the space
- Provide a thorough handover and introduction to new starters or temporary staff
About You
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
