Initially offered on a temporary basis, this position has strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role is Monday to Friday with flexible working hours, offering a great work-life balance. Purpose of the Role To support the payroll team in ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. This includes working with payroll systems, handling queries, and liaising with external providers and auditors. Main Responsibilities Prepare and check payroll data to meet deadlines Spot and resolve errors or issues in payroll processing Support new starters by ensuring their payroll setup is correct Provide payroll data to auditors when needed Regularly check the system to keep employee data up to date Manage payroll for sub-contractors and resolve related queries Assist with pension uploads and ensure new employees are enrolled Create reports and statistics for the department Skills and Experience Required Experience in payroll for large organisations Good understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, SSP, SMP Strong communication and problem-solving skills Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks High attention to detail and confidentiality Proficient in Excel and Word Comfortable dealing with internal and external stakeholders Able to work independently with minimal supervision
