Adecco are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our local client on a permanent basis in North Ayrshire, who are a leading manufacturer of products worldwide.
You will have many responsibilities, some will include:
- Maintain and repair all production and process manufacturing equipment
- Undertake tasks in line with maintenance requisition requests
- Conduct PPM (planned preventative maintenance) tasks as required
- Prioritise workload in liaison with Engineering Manager to provide the most effective maintenance service possible, thus maximising production output
- Ensure area of responsibility housekeeping is of a high standard
- Complete engineering projects as assigned by management
- Actively engage with suppliers to improve service levels and reduce costs
- Ensure that all Quality Systems are followed
Experience of working within a COMAH site is a distinct advantage.
To be considered you must have the following:
- Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Self-motivated individual with ability to lead by example
- Good team player but can work on own when required
- Good timekeeper, flexible & willing to work out with normal hours, if required
- Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and demonstrable fault finding skills
- Electrical controls knowledge - PLCs, inverters etc.
- Computer literate
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work to meet business requirements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
