We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Technician to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with experience in production or engineering environments. This role is temporary ongoing, minimum time is 4-6 months.
You will be responsible for operating and monitoring machinery within a production setting, ensuring materials are processed efficiently and to quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and setting up production machinery and equipment
- Monitoring product quality and identifying material defects
- Performing basic maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Loading and unloading materials using appropriate handling equipment
- Recording production data using internal systems
- Working closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations
Shift Pattern & Hours
2-week rotating shift pattern: 2 weeks on days, followed by 2 weeks on nights
4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to operate machinery and carry out basic adjustments
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify faults or defects
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment (lifting, standing for long periods)
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- FLT licence (desirable but not essential)
