We are recruiting a Branch Assistant on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation operating a local branch and warehouse network across the UK. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting branch operations, warehouse activity and customer service. Due to travel between sites for on-site inventory and stock takes, a full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
The Role
As a Branch Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the local branch, combining customer interaction with practical warehouse and stock responsibilities. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a reliable, high-quality local service.
Key duties include:
- Supporting customer enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
- Assisting with warehouse operations, including stock control and stock accuracy
- Supporting on-site inventory counts and stock takes at other sites
- Travelling between branch and customer locations as required
- Helping to manage local orders, deliveries and returns
- Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment
- Representing the business positively and building strong working relationships
What We're Looking For
- Customer-facing experience from a non-retail background (e.g. operations, logistics, administration or support roles)
- Warehouse or stock-related experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A practical, hands-on approach with a positive attitude
- Full UK driving licence - essential
- Willingness to learn and take on a varied role
