The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Programming CNC machines to facilitate the manufacture of Production Tooling and Trimming of plastic components. Updating existing production programs in line with Engineering Change Management. Liaise with Operations and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure the release of programs are prioritized in line with operational requirements.

The successful candidate can expect to:

  • Creation and modification of CNC programs using siemensNX, that facilitates the machining of production parts to engineering design.
  • Analyse part designs to plan logical machining strategy.
  • Verification of CNC programs using the appropriate software prior to production release.
  • Performs all programming assignments using own initiative.
  • Ability to work to tight schedules.
  • Ensure a safe working environment is set and maintained.
  • Any other duties as required to support business needs.

What you need to succeed?

Essential Criteria:

  • 2+ years' experience in 3 axis CNC Programming using a recognized CAD/CAM system.
  • 1+ years' experience in 5 axis CNC programming using a recognized CAD/CAM system.
  • 2+ year relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable criteria:

  • Qualified in a related engineering discipline. E.g. NVQ Level 3, BTEC National Diploma, FETAC Level 5 equivalent qualifications or above.
  • In-depth understanding of G code programming.
  • Working knowledge of Vericut validation software package.
  • Working knowledge of siemensNX or Mastercam.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline.
