Casting Operative
Location: Walsall
Hours: Full Time, 38 hours per week
Monday to Wednesday: 6:00am - 4:00pm
Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Optional overtime available on Fridays Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Training: Full training provided
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Casting Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within production and manufacturing, with full training provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating casting and production equipment safely and effectively
- Preparing moulds and materials for the casting process
- Monitoring production processes and reporting any issues
- Trimming, finishing and inspecting cast products to quality standards
- Carrying out visual quality checks and recording production data
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Supporting colleagues across the production department when required
Skills & Experience
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is advantageous but not essential
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
