Contract: 3 Month Temporary Assignment (Likely Extension)Adecco are recruiting on behalf of our Local Authority client for two HR Generalists to join their team on a temporary basis.
As part of an ongoing organisational transformation programme, the HR team requires additional support to help manage day-to-day HR operations and relieve pressure on the Transformation Business Partners. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HR professionals who can quickly integrate into a busy environment and make an immediate impact.
The Role
We are seeking proactive and adaptable HR Generalists who can hit the ground running and provide broad HR support across a variety of activities. You will work across the employee lifecycle, supporting managers and stakeholders with operational HR matters while ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing generalist HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Supporting employee relations matters, including absence, performance and disciplinary processes
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and workforce administration
- Supporting organisational change and transformation activities
- Managing HR cases and ensuring accurate documentation
- Maintaining employee records and HR systems
- Working collaboratively across HR and transformation teams
- Responding to a variety of operational HR queries and priorities
About You
- Previous experience in a broad HR Generalist position
- Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation
- Experience managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A flexible and proactive approach
- Experience supporting change or transformation programmes is desirable
