Hourly Rate: £15.72 per hour

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, Hybrid

Our client is seeking up to 19 dedicated Agency Investigative Officers to join their Central Investigation Team (CIT). This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference in the community while contributing to effective crime investigations.

About the Role:

The Central Investigation Team plays a crucial role in investigating crime, safeguarding victims, and ensuring that offenders are brought to justice. As an Investigative Officer, you will:

• Manage and progress criminal investigations in compliance with legislation and policies.
• Gather, review, and evaluate evidence from various sources.
• Conduct interviews with witnesses, victims, and suspects as required.
• Prepare detailed investigation files for criminal justice proceedings.
• Liaise effectively with partner agencies, victims, witnesses, and criminal justice partners.
• Undertake investigative actions to identify and pursue offenders.
• Maintain accurate records and utilise police systems to support investigations.
• Contribute to achieving positive outcomes for victims and the community.

What We Are Looking For:

Our client is keen to find individuals who can demonstrate the following:

Essential Criteria:

• Previous investigative experience within policing, law enforcement, or similar environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven experience in managing workloads and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to produce high‑quality written reports and case files.
• A strong victim‑focused approach.
• Capacity to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.

Desirable Criteria:

• PIP1 or PIP2 accreditation.
• Previous experience within a police investigation unit.
• Experience in interviewing victims, witnesses, or suspects.
• Knowledge of criminal law and criminal justice processes.
