Adecco are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for a Pest Control Technician to join their team.
Location: London Borough of Barking & Dagenham
Contract: Temporary (3 months initially, with potential extension)
Hours: 36 hours per week, with overtime opportunities available
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £19.40 per hour PAYE
Please note, a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
The Role
This is a busy role with plenty of work available, making it ideal for someone who is motivated, reliable, and willing to get stuck in.
You’ll be responsible for inspecting, investigating, and treating pest infestations across residential, commercial, and public sector properties, while providing excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pest control inspections and treatments.
- Safely use pesticides and biocides in line with relevant legislation and safe working practices.
- Complete accurate reports and records using handheld devices.
- Communicate professionally with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Support the wider team and assist with ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- RSPH Level 2 Pest Control Qualification (essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Polite, professional, and approachable manner.
- Motivated individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime when required.
- Previous pest control experience is desirable but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who are qualified, eager to learn, and keen to contribute to a busy team environment.
