We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Picker & Relief Driver to join a busy and established operation in Inveralmond, Perth.

This is primarily a warehouse-based position, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in getting things right and can work efficiently as part of a busy team.

Alongside your warehouse duties, you will also provide relief driving cover when required. This involves driving a small van on local delivery routes and delivering to a range of customers, including high-end hospitality establishments.

It is a varied role that would suit someone with warehouse experience who also enjoys driving and dealing with customers.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Accurately picking and preparing customer orders.
• Checking products, quantities and specific order requirements.
• Loading vans safely and in an organised manner.
• Handling chilled and temperature-sensitive products correctly.
• Supporting stock rotation and stock counts.
• Reporting shortages, damaged stock or discrepancies.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
• Providing relief driving cover for holidays and absences when required.
• Completing local deliveries in a small company van.
• Loading and unloading goods safely.
• Providing a professional and friendly service when visiting customer premises.
• Following all health and safety and food hygiene procedures.
• Carrying out manual handling as part of your warehouse duties.

What We're Looking For

Attention to detail is particularly important in this position. Customers rely on their orders being picked accurately and delivered correctly, so we need someone who takes pride in doing a job properly.

To be considered, you should:

• Be over 25 years old due to the driving requirements of the role.
• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
• Be confident driving a small van when providing relief cover.
• Be reliable, punctual and comfortable with early morning starts.
• Be available to work Tuesday to Saturday.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Be comfortable working in a physical, hands-on warehouse environment.
• Be professional and presentable when visiting customer premises.
• Be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Have good communication and organisational skills.
• Be willing to learn and follow established picking, loading and safety procedures.Previous warehouse, picking, food distribution or delivery experience would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.

Working Hours

The usual shift is 5:00am to 1:00pm, Tuesday to Saturday, with a 30-minute unpaid break.

There may also be occasions where a 3:00am start is required, so flexibility with early starts is essential.

Due to the location in Inveralmond, Perth, and the early start times, candidates should have reliable transport to ensure they can get to work consistently.
