Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education programmes that enhance clinical competencies and promote best practises.
- Collaborate with faculty and clinical staff to ensure alignment of educational content with current healthcare standards and practises.
- Conduct engaging lectures, workshops, and hands-on training sessions for nursing students and staff.
- Mentor and guide students in their clinical placements, providing support and constructive feedback to promote professional growth.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in nursing education and practise, integrating relevant knowledge into curriculum development.
- Assess student performance and provide timely feedback to support their learning journey.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of educational initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree in Nursing Education or a related field is preferred.
- Current nursing licence and certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE) is a plus.
- Proven experience in nursing education, clinical instruction, or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Previous experience working within diabetes care, ideally as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse (DSN), Diabetes Nurse, Diabetes Dietitian, or in a similar specialist diabetes-focused role.
