Heat Treatment Operative - Lincoln - Rotating Shifts; Days, Afternoons, Nights
About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Heat Treatment Operative to join its manufacturing team in Lincoln. Working within a fast-paced engineering environment, you will be responsible for operating heat treatment equipment and ensuring components are processed to the required specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heat treatment furnaces and associated equipment in accordance with work instructions and production schedules.
- Load and unload components safely using handling equipment and cranes where trained and authorised.
- Monitor furnace temperatures, cycle times and process parameters to ensure product conformity.
- Complete production documentation and maintain accurate process records.
- Carry out visual inspections and basic quality checks on components.
- Support furnace maintenance activities and report equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with all Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements/Desirable Skills
- Previous experience within manufacturing, production, engineering or industrial environments.
- Experience operating furnaces or heat treatment equipment would be advantageous.
- Ability to follow work instructions and quality procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
