School Administrator (Temporary)
Location: Kirkby Stephen
Pay Rate: £14.14 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm
Contract: Temporary ongoing cover until October half term, with the possibility of extension
We are currently recruiting for a School Administrator to provide temporary cover for a local school in Kirkby Stephen. This role is expected to run until October half term initially, however there is potential for the assignment to continue beyond this date.
This is a varied and rewarding position requiring a proactive and organised individual who enjoys working in a busy school environment and interacting with children, parents, and staff.
Duties will include:
- General administrative support
- Answering telephone and email enquiries
- Greeting visitors, parents, and pupils
- Assisting with pupil attendance and records
- Supporting the school office with day-to-day administration
- Helping to supervise and greet children and parents at the school gate
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
- Other administrative duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous administrative experience is essential
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications
- Friendly, professional, and approachable manner
- Ability to work effectively in a busy school environment
Important:
An Enhanced DBS Check with Children's Barred List check is mandatory for this role. Applicants must already hold a valid check or be willing to undergo one before commencement.
