Hire Desk Manager (Temp to Perm)
Location: Rainham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:00pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: 29K - 35k (depending on experience)
About the Role
Our client, a successful and growing hire company based in Rainham, is looking for a proactive and organised Hire Desk Manager to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing a small team. Full product training will be provided, so previous hire industry experience is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day running of the hire desk
- Coordinating customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Processing hire orders, quotations, and contracts accurately
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Scheduling equipment hire and ensuring timely delivery and collection
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth operations
- Managing and supporting a small team to achieve business objectives
- Handling customer queries and resolving issues efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
- Supporting the wider business with administrative tasks as required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an administration, customer service, or office management role
- Experience managing or supervising a small team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
- Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Positive, hands-on approach and willingness to learn
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
