Warehouse FLT Operative
£16.97 per hour | Overtime £22.06 per hour | 6-Month Temporary Contract | Immediate Starts Available
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading international manufacturer and recognised employer of choice in the local area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced FLT Drivers to join a busy and supportive warehouse team on an ongoing temporary contract.
Alternating weekly shifts:
- 6:00am to 2:00pm
- 10:00am to 6:00pm
- 5 days from 7 working pattern
- Average 36-hour working week
- Overtime and weekend working may be required
The Role
- Operating FLT equipment safely and efficiently
- Loading, unloading and moving raw materials and finished goods
- Preparing and dispatching orders accurately and on time
- Recording stock movements using warehouse systems
- Supporting stock control and inventory accuracy
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
Essential Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent)
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience operating FLT trucks within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication, numeracy and basic IT skills
- Flexible approach to shifts, overtime and weekend working
Desirable
- Additional FLT licences such as Reach Truck, PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) or VNA
- Previous manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience
- Experience using warehouse management systems
