Our client, a leading organisation in the automotive industry, is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact in ensuring product quality and driving improvements across their supplier network.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Planning: Delivering parts quality planning tools aligned with project gateways, while facilitating and reporting QTR activities.
2. Part Maturation and Approval: Conducting the approval process for parts, managing the Meisterbock process, and reporting on 2DP in accordance with the quality plan.
3. Achieving Quality Targets: Driving actions to meet quality targets on pre-series and series vehicles, identifying risks, and escalating as necessary.
4. Supplier Improvement Initiatives: Monitoring supplier performance, driving improvement initiatives, and solving problems using established techniques to ensure the highest quality standards.
5. Deputy Support: Supporting the Supplier Quality Manager with key operational activities and deliverables, stepping in as needed.
Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive experience in Engineering across multiple commodities or a specialisation in one.
- A strong background in automotive supplier quality management, recognised as an expert in the field.
- A proven track record in management systems and processes for maturing parts and resolving quality-related issues.
- Expertise in quality planning and delivering QA standards within time and cost constraints.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and stakeholders, both internally and at suppliers.
Practical & Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with various commodities (e.g., Electrical) or a deep specialisation in one.
- Proficiency in quality techniques, including statistical process control, complex problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 6-sigma, DMAIC), and quality planning tools (e.g., APQP).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and custom applications.
- German language skills are a plus!
