Business Manager
London (Canary Wharf) Hybrid (3 days onsite) £700 per day (inside IR35 via umbrella) 6-Month Contract
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to join a leading global investment bank, supporting the Spread Products business across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with Front Office stakeholders, partnering with senior business leaders and functional teams to drive governance, regulatory initiatives, operational excellence and strategic business priorities across a complex and fast-paced Markets environment. This role is offered as a 6-month maternity cover contract and is based in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Front Office business leaders across Spread Products and Lending businesses.
- Drive governance, oversight and execution of key business priorities and initiatives.
- Coordinate and manage responses to internal and external audits, reviews and regulatory requests.
- Monitor and elevate control issues, ensuring effective remediation and reporting.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal and Internal Audit teams globally.
- Prepare business review materials, governance packs and executive-level reporting.
- Track and drive delivery of action items and strategic initiatives to completion.
- Support regulatory change programmes and business transformation activities.
- Facilitate senior stakeholder meetings and ensure robust follow-through on agreed actions.
Required Experience
- Minimum 7 years' experience within Fixed Income, Credit Markets or Spread Products environments.
- Proven experience in a Business Management, Business Execution, COO or Front Office support capacity.
- Strong understanding of risk, governance and control frameworks within investment banking.
- Experience managing audit responses and regulatory reviews.
- Knowledge of primary lending and syndicated loan transaction lifecycles.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive issues through to resolution.
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting Spread Products, Syndicated Loans or Credit Trading businesses.
- Regulatory change delivery experience within Markets.
- Knowledge of Wholesale Credit Risk frameworks.
- Understanding of EU Securitisation regulations.
- Exposure to AI initiatives or emerging technologies within financial services.
