Are you an experienced Electrical Installation Technician looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Gillingham for a skilled Electrical Installation Technician to join their growing team. This is a temp-perm vacancy, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and become a permanent member of the team.
The Role
Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and testing of electrical components and control systems. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is built to specification, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical components, wiring, and junction boxes onto manufactured units
- Carry out cable routing, cable dressing, and cable termination
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics
- Assemble and install electrical control systems and associated components
- Conduct testing and fault-finding activities where required
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to achieve build targets
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship
About You
- Previous experience in electrical installation, assembly, or fitting
- Confident with cable termination and junction box installation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with low-voltage control systems would be advantageous
- Background within manufacturing, engineering, control panel wiring, or industrial equipment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Desirable Experience
- Electro-mechanical assembly
- Control panel wiring
- Electrical testing and fault finding
- Basic pneumatic system knowledge
