Management Accountant

We're recruiting for a Management Accountant to join Provide Equipment Hub in Croydon on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis within a growing organisation.

  • Location: Croydon
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Rate: Β£22.00 per hour
  • Contract: 3 months with possible extension
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Working Pattern: Primarily onsite during training, with the possibility of up to 2 days per week remote working after training has been completed, subject to manager discretion

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will provide high-quality financial and operational information to support business performance and decision-making. You'll be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, partner statements, commercial analysis, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Produce and reconcile partner statements accurately and on time.
  • Prepare accruals and prepayments.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor operational costs and analyse financial performance.
  • Produce KPI and performance reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver commercial and financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities within financial data.
  • Improve reporting processes, financial controls and systems.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial information and analysis as required.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual who can confidently manage financial reporting while partnering with operational teams.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
  • Experience preparing accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, budgets and forecasts
  • Strong experience producing reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within an operational environment such as retail, logistics, distribution, healthcare or similar service-led businesses
  • Understanding of financial and operational performance drivers
  • Experience using Sage
  • Previous experience working with large datasets and financial systems
