Application Security Engineer
Up to £75,000 | Warwick (1-2 days per month)
Embed security into modern software development. We're partnering with a leading UK infrastructure organisation to recruit an Application Security Engineer.
This role focuses on ensuring security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle, helping engineering teams identify and address risks before applications reach production.
You'll work closely with developers and technical stakeholders to promote secure-by-design principles and strengthen application security practices across a growing technology estate.
What you'll be doing
- Embedding security into the software development lifecycle
- Partnering with engineering teams to improve secure coding practices
- Conducting application security assessments and reviews
- Supporting DevSecOps initiatives across development teams
- Identifying vulnerabilities before release and supporting remediation
- Improving security processes within CI/CD pipelines
- Driving application security best practice across the organisation
What we're looking for
- Software engineering background
- Around 5 years' experience in Application Security, DevSecOps or related positions
- Experience securing SaaS applications
- Strong understanding of application security principles
- Experience working closely with development teams
- Knowledge of secure coding and vulnerability management
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive security improvements
