We're recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the chemicals, plastics, polymers and coatings sector, seeking an experienced
Warehouse FLT Operative to join their busy logistics operation.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, well-established organisation with a strong reputation for quality, safety and innovation.
Operating within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, you'll play a vital role in supporting warehouse operations, stock control and the dispatch of products to customers across the UK and internationally.
While this position is offered on a temporary ongoing basis, opportunities may become available within the wider business for individuals who demonstrate the right attitude, commitment and performance.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the warehouse and logistics team, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials across the site.
Your duties will include
- Operating Counterbalance and Bendi/Flexi Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Moving raw materials, packaging and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Storing stock accurately within warehouse locations and racking systems.
- Preparing and loading outbound deliveries for UK and international customers.
- Using warehouse management systems and handheld scanners to record stock movements.
- Carrying out stock checks and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Completing daily FLT safety inspections.
- Following all health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence.
- Valid Bendi/Flexi FLT Licence.
- Previous experience operating FLTs within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work a rotating 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, covering both days and nights.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable
- Reach Truck, PPT or VNA Licence.
- Experience within chemicals, plastics, paints, coatings or manufacturing environments.
- Experience using warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of stock control and inventory processes.
