Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Stores Coordinator to support the Materials Manager in the day-to-day coordination of stores and warehouse activities. This role is focused on inventory management, purchasing support, supplier liaison, and ensuring materials, PPE, and tooling are available to meet operational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with stores, warehouse, or inventory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong administrative and organisational skills.

Please note: This role does not require a forklift licence or forklift operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily stores operations, ensuring materials are received, stored, and issued accurately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using internal inventory management systems.
  • Raise and process purchase orders (POs) using SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems.
  • Track purchase orders, deliveries, and stock movements to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and service-related queries.
  • Manage PPE and tooling requests, ensuring accurate tracking and record keeping.
  • Produce reports and maintain records using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Assist with stock takes, audits, and inventory checks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the stores function.
  • Work closely with operations, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory, or logistics coordination role.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system.
  • Strong administrative and inventory management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices within a warehouse or logistics environment.

Desirable

  • Experience within logistics, engineering, manufacturing, rail, or a similar operational environment.
  • Previous experience supporting procurement or purchasing activities.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm 40 hours per week Occasional flexibility may be required to support operational requirements.
