Production/Machine Operative Location: Newport , NP20 2NS
Pay Rate: £13.30 per hour (£27,655.00 pa) - Weekly Paid
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established business, operating specialist machinery and contributing to the production of high-quality steel products.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating bending machinery in a safe and efficient manner
- Setting up and monitoring machinery to ensure production targets are achieved
- Working with steel products and materials in a manufacturing environment
- Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications
- Reading and following production instructions and technical drawings where required
- Carrying out basic machine adjustments and reporting faults when necessary
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or steel environment is required
- Experience operating machinery
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable, hardworking and committed to maintaining excellent attendance
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
