Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next interim challenge within the housing sector? We are working with a well-established organisation that is seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a diverse programme of property investment and maintenance works.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, with the added prospect of securing a permanent Lead Quantity Surveyor position in the future.
The Opportunity
- Interim Quantity Surveyor position
- Competitive day rate, negotiable depending on experience
- Permanent equivalent salary of approximately £62,000 per annum
- Hybrid working arrangement with 2-3 days per week in the office and/or attending site visits
- Opportunity to progress into a Lead Quantity Surveyor role on a permanent basis
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of planned maintenance, capital investment and improvement projects
- Cost planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Managing contractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Supporting procurement activities and contract administration
- Providing commercial advice to project and operational teams
- Ensuring value for money whilst maintaining quality and compliance standards
- Building strong relationships with contractors, consultants and key stakeholders
About You
We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have:
- Experience within housing, property services, construction or asset management environments
- Strong commercial and financial management skills
- Knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes
- Experience managing multiple projects and contractor relationships
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent)
