Adecco is recruiting for a Production Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established manufacturing company in the HU12 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FLT Driver who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking for long-term career stability, ongoing training, and opportunities for progression.
Working within the Packing Department, you'll play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring products are packed, stored, and distributed safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move raw materials and finished goods around site.
- Load, unload, and transport pallets between production and warehouse areas.
- Supply production lines with materials to ensure continuous operation.
- Operate packing and production machinery safely and effectively.
- Carry out routine FLT and equipment checks, reporting any faults or defects.
- Complete product sampling and quality inspections in line with company procedures.
- Pack, palletise, band, and wrap finished products to specification.
- Transfer finished goods to designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately complete production records and associated paperwork.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and a safe working environment.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Support production, packing, and warehouse teams as required.
What We're Looking For
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence/certification.
- Recent experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck within a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
- Previous experience in a production, packing, manufacturing, or warehouse role.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
