The Opportunity - A rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to build and grow a cleaning services division within an established facilities management business. With existing infrastructure, public-sector experience, and investment in place, this role offers full responsibility for driving growth, winning new contracts, and creating a scalable and profitable operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the growth strategy for the cleaning division.
- Personally generate, pitch, and secure new contract cleaning business.
- Manage the division's commercial performance, budgeting, and P&L.
- Build operational structures, systems, and processes to support growth.
- Recruit and develop sales, operational, and support teams.
- Oversee contract mobilisations, TUPE transfers, and service delivery.
- Maintain high standards across quality, compliance, health & safety, and operational performance.
What We're Looking For
- Proven success winning and growing contract cleaning business.
- Experience managing multi-site cleaning operations and large-scale contracts.
- Strong commercial and P&L management experience.
- Track record of developing business opportunities and converting them into long-term contracts.
- Hands-on experience with TUPE transfers and contract mobilisations.
- Knowledge of labour planning, quality auditing, COSHH, RAMS, and health & safety.
- Experience working with public-sector or highly regulated clients.
- A commercial, entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build a division from the ground up.
Desirable
- BICSc, IWFM, IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience building or significantly expanding a cleaning services business.
