Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer * £45,000 plus company pension * Mechanical bias (80:20) * Manufacturing environment * Day’s role! * South Manchester The Company Our client is an award‑winning engineering company, supplying high‑quality machine components to a diverse range of industries worldwide. The Company is looking to enhance its operational team by appointing an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer. The working hours are 07:30 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 – 12:30 on Friday’s. Job Description The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer will assist in the mechanical, electrical repair and maintenance of production machinery across the factory. The role requires a candidate with strong mechanical experience and a secondary electrical bias (80% mechanical / 20% electrical). Other responsibilities of the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer will include, but are not limited to: * Reacting to Machine breakdowns and liaising with the production team. * Carrying out PPM checks and maintenance work as directed. * Filling out relevant paperwork for the role (e.g. PPM sheets). * Pro-actively looking for and implementing improvement opportunities. * Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop environment. About You The ideal Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer will have the following: * A City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. * Time Served skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with basic electrical experience. * Experience required as a Mult-skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment. * PLC fault finding knowledge will be advantageous. In addition, the ability to identify potential issues and advise on corrective course of measures. * Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing skills and experience would be beneficial. * Proactive approach to your work and being highly motivated. * Experience in working in a fast-paced Manufacturing background. * Understanding and maintaining 5S The Offer The client offers the Mult-skilled Maintenance Engineer a competitive salary of £45,000, company pension, 25 days holiday (plus statutory holidays) and onsite parking
