ADE Power is looking for a Stores Person to coordinate our stores area. We are a market‑leader in the supply, installation & maintenance of power generation & distribution systems, bespoke noise control solutions & containers / enclosures built to exact size or shape requirements meeting both acoustic & environmental restrictions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the receipt of materials and their control.
Responsibilities
- Goods-in and allocating materials to stores area
- Adding materials/ stock to the internal stock control system
- Picking materials for production and manufacturing departments
- Liaise with purchasing department to resolve any stock queries
- Driving Counterbalance FLT to move stock
- Driving company vehicles for collections and deliveries when required
- Maintaining a good level of housekeeping in the stores area
- To ensure the timely build up kits for each stage of build so that production receive materials prior to the start of the job.
- Liaising with process engineers and taking relevant information from the Bill of materials (BOM) to capture exactly what is required and by when
- Ensure the quality of the products that we dispatch internally into production is of the highest standard, visual inspect parts for any defects (remove and isolate if necessary) then deliver the kit to the assembly line.
- Administering the in‑house computer systems to obtain BOMs / parts lists to collate and prepare kits of parts and record all parts on relevant documentation
Requirements
- Must hold a full and clean UK Driving license
- A full Forklift Counterbalance license
- Scissor lift and Cherry picker certification would be an advantage although in‑house training will be provided
- Previously used an MRP/ stock control system
- Previously worked in warehouse / stock control / stores role with good stock management experience
- Manufacturing or production industry experience
- This role would suit a candidate with previous experience as a Warehouse Operative / Stores Operative / Goods‑in / Dispatch
- Ability to work in a high pressure and high volume environment
- Self‑motivated and able to work alone while also supporting the wider team
- Good organisational skills
Working Hours
The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday and from 7am to 1pm on Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
