We are looking for a detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. This role involves preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure a high-quality finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation and a strong understanding of industrial painting processes.
Responsibilities
- Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections.
- Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted.
- Scrape and sand surfaces to remove imperfections.
- Fill cracks, dents, or other imperfections with appropriate filling material.
- Mask and protect areas that should not be painted.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist painters by preparing paints, cleaning brushes and rollers, and organizing supplies.
- Store paint supplies properly to ensure they remain in good condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risk of injury and property damage.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of different surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to use sanding, masking, and priming tools effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
Working Hours
The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 2pm to 12:30am, Monday to Thursday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, and there is a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
