We are looking for a detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. This role involves preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure a high-quality finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation and a strong understanding of industrial painting processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections.
  • Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted.
  • Scrape and sand surfaces to remove imperfections.
  • Fill cracks, dents, or other imperfections with appropriate filling material.
  • Mask and protect areas that should not be painted.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist painters by preparing paints, cleaning brushes and rollers, and organizing supplies.
  • Store paint supplies properly to ensure they remain in good condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risk of injury and property damage.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of different surface preparation techniques.
  • Ability to use sanding, masking, and priming tools effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.

Working Hours: The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, and there is a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
