We are seeking an Accounts Assistant that will take full ownership of the purchase ledger function and provide support with purchase ledger related month end activities. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong academic background who is looking to develop their accounting career within a growing finance function.
ADE Power Ltd is a global manufacturer of precision engineered acoustic and modular enclosures for generators, switchgear, energy storage, fuel tanks, and related equipment.
Responsibilities- Full ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger process
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
- Supporting purchase ledger month-end close activities
- Accruing for goods received not invoiced (GRNI)
- Reviewing aged creditor balances
- Supporting control account reconciliations
- Strong academic background
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger role
- Self-starter with the confidence to communicate with the wider business
- Must hold AAT qualification or studying towards
- High attention to detail
- Confident Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivots, etc.) and MS Office user
- Comfortable working fully office based
- Exposure to month-end processes is desirable but not essential
- ERP or accounting system experience (Sage) is desirable but not essential
Please note this role is fully office based at our South Kirkby site.
Working HoursThe working hours for this position are 37.5 hours per week, from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1:30pm on Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, and we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
