ADDvanced Solutions Community Network CIC is an open access offer that supports the emotional health and wellbeing of neurodivergent children and young people, their families and the professionals that work with them.
The Role
Opportunity to engage, educate, equip and empower neurodivergent children, young people and their families through 1:1 and group coaching. Join a dynamic, supportive, and growing team working across Cheshire, Merseyside and Manchester, planning, developing and delivering person-centred and solution-focused coaching and learning opportunities, supporting health and wellbeing, whilst providing information, advice and guidance for neurodivergent children, young people and families presenting with needs associated with neurodiversity including ADHD, autism, sensory processing difficulties, specific learning difficulties, social and communication difficulties, SEND and associated mental health needs.
Our unique, person-centred coaching offer aims to increase understanding of neurodiversity, develop skills, improve confidence, build resilience and promote positive change within the client’s area of experience. You will act as a reliable resource for families, offering tailored information, advice and guidance via various channels (telephone, email, face-to-face, online). You will collaborate with external services and signpost to relevant support networks when appropriate. This is a Community Interest Company and a commissioned provider to the NHS and some Local Authorities with opportunities to support the development of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and group coaching sessions for neurodivergent children, young people and families.
- Provide person-centred, engaging opportunities to participate, learn, build confidence and resilience, and to help clients achieve their goals.
- Communicate clearly with families and signpost to relevant services and networks.
- Collaborate with external services and maintain confidential records and information sharing as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Qualifications in coaching and mentoring, minimum level 3 (recognised accreditation e.g. ILM), or a portfolio of evidence demonstrating relevant coaching and mentoring experience and ability to engage neurodivergent children, young people and their families.
- Genuine understanding of the needs of neurodiverse children and families; skilled in delivering person-centred, engaging activities.
- Excellent communication and strong facilitation and mentoring skills; inclusive and supportive approach.
- Strong planning, organisation, time management and administration skills; able to work independently and with the team.
- Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Clean UK driving licence with ability to commute across Cheshire, Merseyside and Manchester; willingness to work in the community and in schools.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Working Arrangements
- Full time, part-time or flexible working opportunities.
- Hours may include some evening and weekend work to deliver learning activities, attend events, and some office work (office location currently in Speke).
