About AddParts
AddParts helps pharmaceutical manufacturers reduce costly production downtime by providing on-demand, fully compliant digital spare parts for production machinery. We replace large physical spare inventories with a digital storeroom, enabling critical components to be manufactured and supplied with quick turnaround in a controllable manner. This improves operational resilience while reducing working capital and storage requirements for our customers. We work in highly regulated environments where reliability, precision, and speed matter.
The Role

You will:
- Visit customer sites to scan and assess components
- Reverse engineer parts without existing drawings
- Create accurate CAD models for manufacture
- Support the production and delivery of parts
- Work closely with experienced engineers and the founder
- Gradually take ownership of repeatable workflows
This role is ideal for someone UK based (Sheffield area) who enjoys figuring things out, working with physical components, and solving practical engineering problems.
Location: UK-based (with regular travel to customer sites)
Salary: £29,000 – £35,000 + expenses
Key Responsibilities
- 3D scanning of mechanical components on-site
- Reverse engineering legacy or undocumented parts
- Producing CAD models suitable for manufacture

- Willingness to travel to customer sites
- Strong problem-solving ability in ambiguous situations
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with reverse engineering or scanning
- Exposure to manufacturing environments
- Understanding of tolerances, materials, and production methods
- Experience working with legacy or worn components
The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here
- Enjoys taking things apart and figuring out how they work

- Practical, not purely theoretical
- Wants responsibility early and to learn quickly
What You’ll Get
- Hands-on experience in a growing, high-impact business
- Exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
- Direct mentorship from experienced engineers
- Rapid development of real-world engineering skills
- A role with visible impact on customer operations
