Role Purpose

Joining a dynamic and ambitious team of talent acquisition specialists, the Resourcing Manager is instrumental to the delivery of the hiring objectives of the team, supporting the firm\’s growth including development of existing and new resourcing processes. The role will have input towards the team\’s strategic direction and will manage as well as develop members of the team.

The Team

Joining a globally connected HR Group which is spread across our London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Dubai, Dublin and Warsaw offices. The teams include Resourcing, Early Careers Learning and Development, Reward, HR Operations HR Business Partnering and Responsible Business. The Resourcing Team is led by the Head of Resourcing with the support of a Senior Manager, Resourcing Operations Manager, 5 Senior Advisors, 1 Advisor, 2 Assistants and an Apprentice.

WHAT WILL THE ROLE INVOLVE?

With a global remit, the Recruitment Manager will drive forward initiatives and projects for the team ensuring efficiencies and success in our overall delivery internally and externally.

A key aspect of the role is to provide effective line management to our business services hiring team and resourcing assistants, including setting objectives, offering support, and conducting regular reviews to ensure correct distribution of work and high-quality delivery. Given the location of the team travel to our Leeds and Manchester offices is essential. As a supportive team, the role may include elements of lawyer hiring.

The following list, whilst not exhaustive, gives a flavour of what you can expect in the role:

  • Deliver key recruitment projects and initiatives to completion. This may include appointing, facilitation and co-ordination of contributors and monitoring as well as reporting performance.   • Overall responsibility and point of escalation for business services recruitment and resourcing operational matters.
  • To oversee the management of vacancy and offer approvals and firm wide resourcing plans with HR Managers and Commercial Finance Managers. Challenging where required, building robust business cases and presenting to exec where required.
  • Responsibility for ensuring Resourcing processes achieve optimum efficiency, managing and monitoring assistant support across the team, ensuring we comply with legislation and are processes are fit for business purposes and provide an excellent candidate experience. This includes facilitating a workflow between the resourcing team, HR Business Partner and HR Administration community and at times the wider firm to ensure a smooth onboarding for future joiners
  • Developing and building relationships with third party providers including system providers, recruitment partners, agencies and networks. Providing clear and timely feedback and working to develop a strong shared understanding of these providers including ensuring the return on investment is maintained from these services.
  • A key contact for our Procurement team and supporting the Head of Resourcing, Senior Resourcing Manager and wider team in the refinement and management of third-party suppliers including the production of the Business Services team\’s Preferred Supplier List and Service Level Agreement.
  • Work closely with our Reporting team with regards to the management of all MI and Reporting from our systems. Ownership and production of regular reports, using the recruitment system, so the team can monitor recruitment activity, success rates, agency performance and the diversity of our candidate pipeline.
  • Take ownership for the completion of the annual pay and benefits review for Business Services alongside the Head of Resourcing, Senior Resourcing Manager and the wider HR team. This includes engaging the Business Services team to contribute towards the research, data collection and data analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Resourcing Manager to have a clear direct recruitment model by using appropriate tools such as talent mapping, job boards, employee referrals and social networking sites, ensuring the best hiring experience in conjunction with the greatest outcome for the cost per hire and inclusion ambitions of the team.
  • Joint ownership and maintenance of recruitment intranet and website, spreadsheets, templates and key recruitment collateral. Ensuring we promote the AG EVP and employer brand in all external facing sources, campaigns, websites and recruitment literature (working with other teams).
  • Responsibility for embedding a culture of responsive and excellent service within the team, ensuring that high standards are maintained at all times.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise

  • This role requires a deep understanding of the full 360 hiring experience within a global organisation. You will have implemented new processes or managed a tender to acquire a new resourcing tool and will understand the core workings of an ATS.
  • Experience of end-to-end sourcing and different attraction methods, candidate pipelining and attraction in-line with firm\’s strategic ambitions.
  • Advanced Stakeholder management skills with a strong ability to influence across all levels. A track record of senior level/leadership hiring would be an advantage.
  • An experienced team manager who is driven by collaboration, team development with the ability to deliver feedback and encourage positive outcomes.
  • Able to clearly and succinctly present key business messages externally, and ability to successfully influence at all levels internally.
  • Knowledge of both agency and in-house recruitment and will be a well networked individual including the wider recruitment profession.
  • A passion for learning, seeking new methods of attraction and your curiosity of new hiring tools and tech that comes to market will be instrumental.
