This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced advisory (non-contentious) procurement lawyer to work on complex, high-profile matters while taking on greater responsibility, developing client relationships and helping shape the future of our growing practice.
What You'll Do:
- Lead on complex procurement matters, advising public authorities, utilities and contracting partners on procurement strategy, direct awards, contract modifications and regulatory compliance.
- Manage procurement workstreams on large, multi-disciplinary projects across sectors including transport, utilities, IT, outsourcing, construction, real estate and defence.
- Advise clients throughout the procurement lifecycle, delivering pragmatic, commercially focused solutions to complex legal and strategic issues.
- Work closely with our specialist procurement disputes team, supporting procurement challenges and litigation strategy where required.
- Supervise, coach and develop junior lawyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
- Build and strengthen client relationships while contributing to business development through thought leadership, training, networking and profile-raising activities.
- Help drive the continued growth of the Procurement practice through innovation, process improvement and strategic initiatives.
Who We're Looking For:
- A qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience advising on public procurement and/or utilities procurement matters.
- Strong technical expertise with experience managing complex, high-value matters and delivering commercially focused advice.
- A confident communicator with excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
- Commercially minded, proactive and enthusiastic about client development, practice growth and progressing your career.
