With the continued success of the team, we are looking to recruit an ambitious senior/managing associate (5 Year PQE+) to join our growing Manchester based team. This is a high performing, cohesive and busy team with a strong client list and pipeline which we are hoping to grow with further recruits.
What You'll Do:
- Market leading team: Our Manchester team are ranked in Tier 1 by Chambers and Legal 500 and we have more named individuals than any other firm.
- Market leading cases: You can expect to work on a variety of property disputes (predominantly commercial property) including landlord and tenant, development, telecoms etc at all levels of the Court System.
- Working in a division that is strategically important to AG: As one of the firm's key areas of expertise, Real Estate is at the heart of Addleshaw Goddard and represents a formidable power-house. The division acts for some of the foremost investors, banks, developers and retailers including Standard Life, Scottish Widows, Threadneedle, British Land, Peel, Primark and Co-op.
Who We're Looking For:
- You will be commercially aware, with not only a strong knowledge of the law but the ability to apply it effectively, giving our clients useful advice that is commercially beneficial to their businesses.
- You will have experience in client facing roles, taking instructions directly from clients and managing/delegating more routine matters, in addition to running your own less routine matters.
- You will also have experience assisting more senior members of the team with more complex matters.
- Fundamentally, you need enthusiasm, resilience and ambition. That is, the ambition to improve yourself with the best possible work, making the most of the opportunities you will be given, whilst still having time to enjoy life outside work.
- You should be comfortable with the variety of work on offer, willing to embrace it and not be daunted.
