AG’s Leveraged Finance practice is one of the most active and successful in the London mid-market. As part of our exciting AG2030 growth strategy, we are thrilled to appoint a Managing Associate to sustain our momentum and further accelerate our growth. Working with an impressive client roster which includes banks, debt funds, direct lenders, private equity sponsors and financial institutions, you will handle market structures such as senior facilities, first-out, second lien, unitranche and TLB facilities. You’ll be part of a creditable and reliable team with a bench strength at partner level and below, that ensures you will be able to deliver for your clients and to grow and progress in your career. What You'll Do:
- Advising clients on a variety of transactions, with a focus on leveraged and acquisition finance.
- You will work in a collegiate and supportive environment and can expect a good variety of work and high quality of training.
- Working as part of a team including assisting with the supervision of junior lawyers’ work and taking an active part in sharing knowledge and experience with the team.
- This is a high performing, cohesive and busy team with a strong reputation for providing Managing Associates with high levels of responsibility within a supportive and stretching environment and therefore you can expect to take a leading role.
Who We're Looking For:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE experience in leveraged finance and leading on private equity-backed transactions.
- Experience acting on UK and or European mid-market financings.
- Familiarity with managing transactions, in particular facility agreements, term sheets, commitment papers and intercreditor arrangements on leveraged finance transactions.
- Initiative and proactive approach with strong service orientation - a 'client first' culture.
- Ability to work well and collegially in a team.
- Commerciality and demonstrable business development experience.
