What You'll Do
- Analyse business, finance and reporting needs, working closely with Finance teams to understand financial data, controls and reconciliations, and translate requirements into practical data designs and delivery options.
- Design, build and maintain Microsoft Fabric pipelines, lakehouses, warehouses, data models and reporting layers, with reliable ingestion and transformation processes that deliver trusted, consistent and usable financial information.
- Integrate financial systems, enterprise platforms, internal systems, APIs and data services, selecting appropriate batch or real-time processing, platform capabilities, extensions or custom code.
- Deliver secure, maintainable, scalable and supportable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and approved platform patterns, working with platform owners and governance teams to meet security, privacy, data quality, retention and operational requirements.
- Apply effective source control, testing, release and deployment practices; diagnose and resolve issues across pipelines, integrations, models, financial systems and dependent services; and monitor, support and continuously improve deployed solutions.
- Maintain clear designs, technical documentation, data lineage and support information; explain options, decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders; and provide realistic estimates, identify risks and dependencies, and communicate delivery progress
- Review colleagues' work, contribute to shared standards, reusable components and good engineering practice, and evaluate emerging Microsoft Fabric and data capabilities for measurable value within appropriate controls.

- Strong ability to understand business and finance processes and translate requirements into effective data solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, One Lake, lakehouses, warehouses, notebooks and Power BI.
- Knowledge of SQL, data modelling, data integration patterns, APIs and appropriate use of Python or Spark.
- Understanding of data security, privacy, quality, governance, lineage and operational support requirements.
