Duties
• Lead the HR data integrity efforts by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input data. Oversee audits of HR data and troubleshoot irregularities. Implement and support data governance processes, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance data quality and reliability.
• Manage the collection and handling of HR data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection laws.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of HR data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within the workforce, providing actionable insights to HR and management teams. Utilise innovative analytical techniques to uncover deeper insights.
• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR dashboards and reporting tools that present key metrics in an understandable and visually appealing manner.
• Drive strategic HR initiatives through data-driven recommendations and insights, incorporating innovative approaches to solve complex HR issues and enhance strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to understand their data needs and support them with relevant analytics and reports.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in HR analytics, recommending and implementing improvements to our analytics strategies and tools.
• Lead HR projects with a focus on integrating data and insights into planning and execution.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of databases and Power BI reports, ensuring continuous improvement and delivering updates to tight deadlines.
• Manage the maintenance of existing reports and the creation of new reports within the HR system to set up new reporting functionalities when required, further improving existing processes and assisting the business in accessing data through innovative reporting techniques.
Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role)
You will have:
• Excellent PowerBI skills, including data visualisations.
• Experience with statistical modelling and descriptive statistics would be advantageous.
• Excellent MS Excel skills, highly analytical with the ability to manipulate large data sets as required.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within HR analytics, with a strong understanding of HR processes and data, and a track record of innovation in data analysis.
• A positive customer service ethos, ensuring high levels of service are delivered at all times, responding promptly to project requirements or requests.
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to operate at a high level of detail, with a focus on innovative ways to enhance data accuracy and insight.
• Ability to lead a team collaboratively or work independently as needed, fostering an innovative team environment.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, using innovative approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
• Previous experience of working in a managerial data analyst capacity.
• Understanding and confidence in using specific systems and programmes, including PowerBI and database management.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and HR information systems, with a commitment to exploring innovative analytical tools and techniques.
• Experience in designing and maintaining HR dashboards and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
