We are ideally looking for candidates with experience of dealing with Land Registry applications and land tax returns (SDLT and LTT). This role would suit candidates who are committed to developing their skills and advancing their careers within the paralegal and/or commercial property field, rather than those who are seeking to progress to qualification via a training contract. The Team Launched in 2010, our well-established, high performing and busy Transaction Services Team (TST) helps Addleshaw Goddard deliver a world-class service to its clients. We were the first team of its kind in the UK and continue to innovate by delivering work efficiently, saving clients time and money. Our team includes apprentices, paralegals, managers, and solicitors. Members focus on tasks in various legal assignments that do not necessarily require qualified lawyers, including transactional, advisory, and contentious work components. Supported by technology, we enable Addleshaw Goddard to respond to client demand for innovative and value-driven services. This role is part of a newly established Post-Completion Hub, dedicated to Land Registry applications and land tax returns, supporting the wider TST Real Estate team and Real Estate Group. What to Expect in This Role Managing Land Registry applications, including registration, transfers, leases, easements, charges, discharges, unilateral notices, and deeds of variation (training provided for complex applications); Submitting SDLT and LTT returns; Updating internal case management systems and providing progress updates to clients; Ensuring compliance with quality assurance processes, reviewing applications and returns for accuracy; Contributing to team development, including participating in training design and delivery; Attending training, staying updated on technical developments related to HMLR & Land Tax, and Performing additional tasks as required. Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise Experience in complex commercial property post-completion matters, developing a specialization; High attention to detail, following processes and procedures; Effective organizational and time management skills, monitoring progress and managing priorities; Strong communication skills, providing updates to colleagues and clients; Proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn; Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and desire for success; Ability to contribute to a dynamic team and produce high-quality work; Willingness to meet internal service standards; Ability to work under tight deadlines with urgency; Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and commercial awareness; Interest or experience in using technology to improve work processes.
