We are ideally looking for candidates with experience of dealing with Land Registry applications and land tax returns (SDLT and LTT). This role would suit candidates who are committed to developing their skills and advancing their careers within the paralegal and/or commercial property field, rather than those who are seeking to progress to qualification via a training contract. The Team Launched in 2010, our well-established, high performing and busy Transaction Services Team (TST) helps Addleshaw Goddard deliver a world-class service to its clients. We were the first team of its kind in the UK and continue to innovate by delivering work in the most efficient way, saving our clients time and money. We are now one of the Firm\’s biggest Groups, with our team comprising apprentices, paralegals, managers, and solicitors. Our team members focus on tasks found in a wide variety of legal assignments, which do not necessarily need to be done by qualified lawyers, including process elements of transactional, advisory, and contentious work. We are supported by technology and play a key role in enabling Addleshaw Goddard to respond to client demand for more innovative and better value services. This role is part of a newly established Post-Completion Hub, which deals exclusively with Land Registry applications and land tax returns to support the wider TST Real Estate team and Real Estate Group. What to Expect in This Role Submission and management of Land Registry applications, including first registrations, transfers, leases, easements, charges, discharges, unilateral notices, and deeds of variation (training provided for complex applications); Submission of SDLT and LTT returns; Keeping internal case management systems updated and providing regular updates to clients; Ensuring quality assurance for applications and returns; Contributing to team development through training and participation; Attending training and staying updated on technical developments related to HMLR & Land Tax; Performing additional tasks as required. Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise Experience in complex commercial property post-completion matters and developing a specialism; High attention to detail and adherence to processes; Effective organizational and time management skills; Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; Proactive, enthusiastic, and positive approach; Self-motivated with a willingness to learn; Strong work ethic and ambition; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Problem-solving skills and sound judgment; Interest or experience in using technology to improve work processes.
