Due to department growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior freight forwarder to join a highly respected and growing Felixstowe based freight forwarder within their Road Freight division. The company has grown steadily since their inception over 20 years ago and is now highly regarded with their clients and employees for providing great service along with offering their employees a great working environment and opportunities to progress.
Basic Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 Plus Bonus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm
Duties Include:
- Managing Road Freight Shipments (UK & EU)
- Ensuring shipments are delivered on time
- Liaising with dedicated subcontractors
- Communicating with customers
- Upselling where applicable
- Updating reports and other administrative duties
Skills Required:
- Freight forwarding or transport office experience
- Good geographical knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communicator
- Hard working with a 'can do' attitude
- Good team player
- IT literate
