Overview
In this role you will lead electrical design for building services projects, ensuring compliance and high technical standards. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver energy-efficient solutions from concept to completion. You’ll assess feasibility, costs, and regulatory requirements while engaging clients and stakeholders to drive project success. Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design delivery across building services projects ensuring regulatory compliance and high technical standards
- Produce electrical designs from concept through final project completion
- Prepare technical calculations, specifications, drawings and tender documentation
- Collaborate with mechanical and sustainability teams to deliver coordinated, energy-efficient solutions
- Ensure designs meet current regulations and industry standards
- Produce feasibility studies, reports and cost estimates
- Liaise with clients, contractors and key stakeholders throughout projects
- Undertake site visits, inspections and progress/quality reporting
Key requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in electrical building services design
- Experience in consultancy, contractor or similar environments
- Knowledge of BS 7671, fire alarm design and emergency lighting
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proficient in AutoCAD and recognised electrical design software
- Full UK driving licence
