An opportunity has arisen for a Service Advisor to join a commercial vehicle dealer specialising in the sale, servicing, and repair of vans and trucks supporting businesses with new and Approved Used vehicles, genuine parts, and comprehensive aftersales services.
As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers, coordinating vehicle service and repair work while ensuring a smooth aftersales experience.
This full-time role offers a salary of £32,780 - £34,380 per annum, plus a performance-related bonus of up to £1,720 per annum and benefits.
You will be responsible for
- Welcoming customers in person and over the telephone in a professional manner.
- Booking vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair appointments.
- Preparing and managing repair orders using the dealership management system.
- Completing vehicle check-in procedures, recording vehicle condition and customer requirements.
- Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process.
- Obtaining approval for any additional work identified during servicing.
- Arranging vehicle collections, deliveries and customer handovers.
- Ensuring service documentation is accurate to support invoicing and workshop administration.
- Reviewing vehicle service records to identify suitable maintenance recommendations.
- Delivering a high standard of customer service throughout the customer journey.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the service department. What we are looking for:
- Previously worked as a Service Advisor, Service Adviser, Service Receptionist, Service Administrator, Aftersales Advisor, Customer Service Advisor or in a similar role.
- Prior experience within automotive industry.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Good IT and administrative abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively in a busy environment.
- Professional, positive and team-oriented approach.
